The Loft thus far

Matt and I ventured out today to buy some new furniture for our Loft, well actually it is Matt’s “man cave”. The futon/couch that we wanted from World Market went on sale, so we decided now was a good time to go get it.

There was a very nice ottoman/coffee table that Matt had his eye on for a long time on sale too, but they were sold out in store and he didn’t want to wait two to three weeks for them to get it back in stock. So we bought two smaller versions instead.

Here are pictures of the Loft thus far. We still plan on doing more to it, as you will see from my comments.

Here is the “finished” side of the room. The paint colors may look odd, but the white part actually extends all the way into the living room, so we thought it would look strange to just stop the brown half way.

I would still like to get some end tables. The chess “end” table that is there now is actually a Christmas present for one of my relatives.

We just have to figure out how to wrap it… haha.

This part of the Loft is still a work in progress. The plan is to get an electric fireplace to go under the floating shelves. Then, we are going to get a bigger flat screen television for the living room and mount the old one above the fireplace.

Those floating shelves and decor are mine, so they will be finding a new place outside of Matt’s room.

And yes, that is a picture of his car on the table. It ranks high on his list of favorite – and most important – things. Probably numbers one through fifty.

At least.

This is just a picture of the other side of the Loft. Our Living Room is down there. That room is still a work in progress too.

The Loft is turning out to be a nice room. I like how cozy it is.

Hopefully Matt will let me go up there every so often to use it. πŸ˜‰
