Through My Window

I had an idea a few months back to take a picture of what is going on outside of my window every day.

Then I realized I live in a town with a population of 1,000 and nothing ever happens beyond the changing weather.

Every so often, I still capture the weather.

Today is rainy and very hazy. I am glad I took the photo when I did because now I can barely see across the street.

The snow is melting, which makes me happy. This winter came close to breaking the record of the number of days with at least an inch of snow on the ground.

The bad thing about all this snow melting, besides the ugly, dirty snow, is that the backyard is all mud. Not good when you have two dogs.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind snow for a while. I really enjoy getting large snowfalls.

I just miss the warm weather, smooth drives to work and going to the dog park.

These are some of my favorite shots throughout the months. October through March.

The transition goes fast. One day there are leaves on the trees and the next there is two feet of snow on the ground.

Wisconsin’s weather is always changing.

Even in the city.

  1. Aw, I love all those captures through your window. I’m pretty weather obsessed, and seeing as I neither have dogs nor have to commute to work/school by car but walk, I wish we would’ve had even more snow over here. I get where you’re coming from, though. Heh.

Also, that house across the street has such a pretty, blue color! It’s a bit out there but I love it! 🙂
